More reactions have continued to trail the recent death of Uwaila Omozuwa , an undergraduate of the University of Benin , who died after she was raped on May 27 by some hoodlums in Benin City , the Edo State capital .
The hoodlums were reported to have forced their way into the auditorium of an assembly of the Redeemed Christian Church of God
where Omozuwa had gone to study .
Her assailants were said to have struck her in the head with a fire extinguisher , violated her, and left her to die .
Celebrities like Genevieve Nnaji , Tiwa Savage , Falz , amongst others have since taken to Twitter to lend their voices and demand justice for the victim.

In or out of uniform , we live in constant fear of men .
Tina Ezekwe . Vera Omozuwa . Rest In Peace my darlings .
We will get justice . 🌹 💔
It’s so exhausting to see injustice continue to thrive time after time. Every time we say NOT AGAIN, and then there is a new story. Enough is enough.
It’s too disheartening. Justice must be served for the innocent souls we keep on losing.
She had just been admitted to the University of Benin to study microbiology.
She was 22. Uwa’s dream of becoming a nurse has now been dashed by rapists and murders.
All she wanted to do was read.

The other day my sister was alone a home while the AC was being installed by a male worker.
When I remembered, I panicked an started running back home.
Just incase. Nothing happened but that constant fear is paralysing.
