Speak pidgin English to police officers to avoid problem

The Head of the Police Complaint Response Unit (CRU), Abayomi Shogunle has taken to his Twitter page to advise Nigerians to speak pidgin English to police officers to avoid problems with them.

According to him, it will be better if citizens can also communicate to police officers in the language they best understand, instead of speaking big grammars to them.

Sharing a video where a Senior Police officer was addressing some officers of the Force he wrote;

Lagos State will be calm if police chiefs in #Lagos do more of this.

For now, don’t go and be speaking Queen’s English with them on the road. For proper understanding talk to them in Pidgin, another way to avoid kasala”
