The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have resolved to recommence their campaigns due to the shift in the date of the presidential and National Assembly elections.
This was revealed in separate interviews granted by the National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole ; and Campaign Director of the Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organisation, Rabiu Kwankwaso who confirmed their respective parties would proceed with campaigns.
This is even as the Independent National Electoral Commission said it would take the final decision on Monday to determine whether political parties should resume campaigns.
However, the Chief Press Secretary to INEC chairman, Rotimi Oyekanmi , confirmed to the press that the electoral umpire would reach a final decision on the issue on Monday.
He said, “On the issue of campaigns, the Commission will meet tomorrow (Monday) and take a decision on the matter.”
