Sources said following Udo ’ s arrest by police personnel from the Force Headquarters , Abuja , youths from Ohafia took the opportunity to go to the Nmuri stream location of the church along the Abam – Ohafia Road , Ebem Ohafia, and destroyed it .

“ The Assemblies of Light Bearer Greater Church of Lucifer , popularly known as the Church of Satan , in Ohafia, founded by Mr Ifekwe Udo , has been knocked down and vandalised by youths of the community for the evil it has initiated , ” one of the sources stated .

Udo , also known as Lucifer or Fada- Fada, the source pointed out, had a questionable root regarding his Ohafia ancestry .

The source stated , “He became popular in the past quarter of a decade for his visible efforts in providing employment opportunities for the jobless youths of the community.

He gave the jobless youth motorcycles on hire purchase.

“ He later opened a brothel also in Ohafia , which allowed same sex relationship .

The people of Ohafia knew his evil practices , but nobody could confront him because of his connections .

“ He was arrested this month by the federal authority for violating the lockdown order and also for child trafficking and terrorising the community. ”

According to another source , men are stationed in the brothel for sex- starved women and men to go and find comfort.

The alleged atrocities, sources said , made the youth of the community to destroy the satanic images outside the church.

Eze Ujurueze confirmed the report and stated that the police from Abuja arrested Udo on the grounds that he was involved in the recent burning down of the Ohafia Divisional Police Station and other government institutions, including courts .

The monarch stated that already, the Ebem community and the entire Ohafia clan had banished him .

Reports that Udo was first taken to Abuja , interrogated and returned to Umuahia , where he is currently facing trial .

ID Cabasa condemns influential people claiming there’s no Coronavirus

Award-winning music producer, ID Cabasa has called on influential people, especially religious leaders, to desist from building up theories and making claims that COVID-19 does not exist.

He said the fact that they are influential makes people believe whatever they say and this means their theories can impact lives negatively.

He went on to narrate how a lady he knows refused to believe there’s Coronavirus in Nigeria because her pastor said so.

She only believed after her brother was diagnosed with it.

He wrote: “As intelligent and influential people, it will be discretional to be quiet and observe things as regards COVID-19 than building up theories around why?

I don’t dispute what you feel or believe BUT if what u feel or belief has no FACTS backing it please be careful how you share these things u are feeling it is..

“You are influential and people will do without thinking whatever u say either in the right context or otherwise…

And if there’s a strong conviction about what you feel please be clear so as not to confuse people with what you have not said(Which can be insinuated from what you said)
“Someone said there’s no COVID-19 and all she could quote was a top MOG… and I am like

“Did he ever say there is no Covid?

Then she started saying everything is a hoax.. quoting theories upon theories…SMH.. 10mins after she called back panting and nearly crying that she just got a call that her younger brother was exposed to the virus…..

Algerian footballer Farid El Melali ‘arrested for masturbating in public for a second time this year

Algerian and Angers winger, Farid El Melali was arrested on Wednesday, July 8, for the second time this year for allegedly masturbating in public in France.

Ouest-France reported that the 22-year-old was questioned by local police following a second indecent exposure complaint lodged against the Algerian attacker.

The fresh incident comes two months after he was arrested for this same offense, and was already preparing to face a court hearing later this summer.

El Melali’s lawyer, Sandra Chirac Kollarik, told Ouest-France: ‘Farid El Melali was heard this Wednesday morning by the Angers police services, about acts committed during the recent period of confinement, which he acknowledged, and about which he had already been interviewed before being summoned to court.

YouTube subscriber link below:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLN_G6vF-mFoh6XScAjU82Q?sub_confirmation=1

‘Once again Farid El Melali answered the questions asked and all the necessary checks could therefore be made, so that his hearing was quickly closed.

‘He renews his sincerest apologies to the women he may have upset with inappropriate attitudes.’

In response to the latest incident, Angers President Fabrice Favetto-Bon said: ‘We believe that we have already made statements on this matter.

We heard the player’s apology.

‘Obviously, this type of behaviour, pending the decision of the courts, does not conform with the values of the club and our requirement of players to be examples.

The process is ongoing.’

Farid El Melali is expected to make a plea – either guilty or not guilty – when facing a prosecutor on the two complaints of alleged indecent exposure.

In line with article 222-32 of law in France, the footballer risks receiving a one-year prison sentence and a €15,000 (£13,480) fine.

Court stop Okorocha’s request to stop probe by EFCC and Imo panel

Court declines Okorocha?s request to stop probe by EFCC and Imo panel

Senator Rochas Okorocha’s request for an order to stop the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the state probe panel from investigating him on alleged financial infractions, has been struck out by a federal high court sitting in Abuja.

Okorocha had requested for a court order ending or suspending EFCC’s investigation against him, including all the petitions submitted to it by the Imo government until the panel on contract set up by the same state government had concluded its probe on his government between 2011 and 2019.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLN_G6vF-mFoh6XScAjU82Q?sub_confirmation=1

While counsel to the former Imo State governor, Oba Maduabuchi (SAN) informed the court that the defence counsel asked for an adjournment to respond to processes served on them and also asked the court to stop those involved in the suit from going ahead with the probe pending the determination of the matter,  the counsel to 2nd to 48th defendants, J.M. Madu quickly interjected that the probe panel had not commenced sitting. Madu also promised to inform the Attorney-General of Imo about the development.

The request was however rejected by Justice Ahmed Mohammed who held that it would be of no use to grant a restraining order since Madu had undertaken to tell the parties not to go ahead with the probe pending when the matter would be determined. He added that since the EFCC was not represented in court, it would be unfair to grant the request in the interest of justice.

Limitations of PayPal Nigeria Accounts

PayPal is an American service.

The very best experience with this payment system is available to residents of the USA.

No other country enjoys the depth and richness of features offered in the US.

It feels like Nigeria is on the other end of the spectrum.

Thus, I would be sharing the features available in the USA that are not available to Nigeria, to illustrate the limitations experienced by users in Nigeria.

PayPal Debit Card

PAYPAL DEBIT CARD

  • PayPal Credit: subject to credit approval, American users can make use of a digital credit line to make purchases online exceeding $99 and repay in installments.
  • Card issuance: PayPal issues Cashback Mastercard (2% cashback everywhere the card is accepted), Extras Mastercard (cardholders can earn points on every spend), Cash Mastercard (a debit/ATM card linked directly to the PayPal wallet), and PrePaid Mastercard (for funds transfer from the wallet to the card) to residents of the USA.
  • Near Instant Bank withdrawal: this new feature allows USA users to withdraw to their eligible debit card or bank account almost instantly, albeit for a premium fee. Regular withdrawals are free-of-charge and reflect the next working day.
  • Fees: US-based merchants enjoy some of the lowest transaction fees for accepting payment over this platform. Sales within the USA can be as low as 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction.
  • PayPal Here card reader: US-based merchants also have the luxury of a card reader that enables them to accept payments physically from major card schemes.

Wike lashes Ganduje says’ your dollars won’t work in Edo

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party National Campaign Council for the Edo State Governorship Election , Governor Nyesom Wike, has said his Kano State counterpart , Abdullahi Ganduje, is the one who deserves to be isolated , not him .

He said this during the inauguration of the PDP campaign council in Abuja on Tuesday.

Wike said neither he nor the PDP could be intimidated by threats coming from the All Progressives Congress over the Edo Governorship election .

Ganduje, during a media briefing in Abuja , on Monday said , “We know the PDP made Wike their (campaign council ) chairman .

I assure you ; we will isolate Wike in an isolation centre and before he recovers , the election is over . ”

Wike said , “ Nobody can intimidate us in this election .

Yesterday , I was told and today I read on the pages of newspapers that one Governor Ganduje said that he is going to isolate me until the election is over .

If Nigeria is supposed to be a country , who is supposed to be isolated?

“ A man who pockets dollars in
babanriga (flowing gown) from contractors is not isolated and you say that me should be isolated.

In this country, where are we heading to ?

“ Let me tell you why they (APC ) made Ganduje the chairman of the campaign council ; it is because of the dollars they saw .

But for dollars , Ganduje could not have been made the chairman of the campaign council.

“ But what he doesn’ t understand is that we are from the Niger Delta ; we shall chop his dollar and we will chop him to a coma .

So , Ganduje, your dollar will not work in Edo State, we have integrity in our party . ”

The Rivers State governor on behalf of members of the council promised to ensure victory for the PDP in the Edo election .

Earlier , in his address , the National Chairman of the PDP , Uche Secondus asked the President Muhammadu Buhari -led regime to save the nation ’ s democracy by ensuring that the votes of the people counted not only in Edo State, but across states where elections would be held going forward .

He said , “ We recall that it ’ s in Edo State that President Goodluck Jonathan was in a ruling party when Comrade Adams Oshiomhole won election twice as a member of the opposition because of the transparency of the time .

“ Today , as we go into this election in the same Edo , the situation in our country is different not just because of the global COVID – 19 pandemic that has changed the World order , but more due to the prevailing uncertainties in our land . ”

He said Nigerians were living in fear because of “ senseless killings and the misuse of security forces to manipulate the electoral process . ”

He was arrested following a complaint by his daughter at the Owode – Egbado Divisional Police Headquarters.

The state Police Public Relations Officer , Abimbola Oyeyemi , confirmed the incident in a statement on Tuesday.

“ Consequent upon which she was taken to the Owode -Egbado Police Station to complain .

Clash struck between Islamic leaders and traditional worshippers over suicide victim’s corpse in Ogun State

There was a clash between Islamic leaders and some traditionalists on Tuesday in Sagamu , Ogun State , over the custody of the corpse of a 32-year – old man who committed suicide.

The deceased, Muhammed Jamiu , an electrician and father of one, reportedly killed himself in his room on Yakubu Habibu Street, Agura , Sabo , Sagamu , on Monday night .

Reports gathered that although the deceased was a Muslim , some traditionalists attempted to take possession of his remains shortly after the news filtered out.

The traditionalists reportedly insisted that a ritual must be performed to avoid any repercussion of the death in the area .

Speaking , the Imam of Aduragbemi Mosque in Agura Sabo , where the deceased prayed before his death , Nurain Ilyas , said his members were shocked by Jamiu ’ s death.

He noted that they became more worried when the traditional worshipers attempted to take over his corpse.

Ilyas said , “His name is Muhammadu Jamiu .

He was 32 years of age . He was an electrician .

He was married with one kid , but divorced many years ago.

“ He was an easygoing person . He used to pray in my mosque and I always admonished him to make his faith stronger .

I think he hanged himself .

“ The police came to inspect the scene after it happened on Monday night . ”

YouTube subscriber link below:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLN_G6vF-mFoh6XScAjU82Q?sub_confirmation=1

Ilyas said no suicide note was found around the scene of the incident .

On the clash between the two religious groups , another Islamic leader, Imam Sonubi Dauda , said the matter was later taken to the palace of the traditional ruler in the area .

According to him , representatives of the traditional worshipers requested contributions for a ritual to be performed.

“ They asked for about N 150 , 000 before they reduced it to N 25, 000 ; but we refused and did not give them a dime .

“ We collected the key to the room where the man hanged himself from them .

I don’ t know their problem since the police had ordered that the corpse should be buried , ” he added .

Dauda said the man was later buried according to Islamic rites .

The leader of the Osugbo- Remo in Sagamu , Ifasola Opeodu , confirmed the incident as well .

Opeodu reports that some of his members were at the scene for a ritual , adding that they left the body after the intervention of the palace authorities .

When asked why the traditionalists wanted to take over the body of a Muslim , Opeodu noted that there were laid down traditions for anyone who died by suicide .

He said , “If anyone committed suicide in the olden days , Oro worshipers and traditionalists would perform rituals.

But things have changed now . We now have other religions .

“ The Muslims will perform the rites ; our people left the body for them.

“ At the end of the day , our members were settled ; they were settled at the palace . ”

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi , said the clash between the religious groups was not formally brought to the police .

He said , “ The deceased has been buried according to Islamic rites ; the Imam and family members of the man visited the police divisional headquarters at Sagamu to thank the police after the burial rites .

“ The police heard that the traditional ruler in the area resolved the matter and normalcy has returned. ”
